Can I buy just one level?
Yes, and that is exactly how it works. Choose Dutch A1 for the shorter course, up to A1 level, or Dutch A2 for the complete course, all the way to A2, starting from zero. A2 already includes everything in A1, so there is no need to buy both.

Do I need prior knowledge?
No, neither course requires prior knowledge. Both start from absolute zero (A0). A1 is the shorter course (25 chapters, up to A1 level). A2 is the complete course (43 chapters, all the way to A2) and does not require you to have done A1 first.
