What is the writing exam?
The writing exam is part of the Dutch inburgeringsexamen. In this exam, you write short texts in Dutch within about 40 minutes. You do not need to write long or difficult texts. It is more important that your sentences are simple, clear, and correct.
During the exam, you may need to write an email, a short letter, or answer a simple question. Sometimes you also need to fill in a form. These are situations you can also see in daily life in the Netherlands, for example at work, school, or when making an appointment.
The goal of the exam is simple: you show that you can write clear and correct Dutch that other people can understand.
